NOT MUCH COMMON SENSE HERE, BUT USUALLY INTERESTING EVEN IF OUT OF PHASE WITH REALITY BY ABOUT 90 DEGREES
Elephant Rants and Raves by Justin Bollinger is usually interesting even if sometimes truly unintentionally funny enough to be satire in the Onion. Take a look anyway. Justin seems to have a good enough sense of humor about comments even if he rants and raves. I suspect his site is a bit like a canary in a coal mine. It gives an indication of the latest humbug from the right. ---Doug Wiken (The Devil made me post it).

probably unfair. Much more substance here. Take a good look at this
blog site.

CAN'T RESIST 'COMMON SENSE' HERE. GOTTA POST, GOTTA POST
Common Sense and Wonder A blog dedicated to common sense in practical and political matters combined with a sense of wonder of the world around us and the amazing rate of technological change. Skeptics and cynics especially welcome. That's what he says. Not sure however. But the background color of his page does not appear to reflect common sense. [the new colors are a bit strange, but mostly readable--------- Doug Wiken

WebSense - Marketing, Advertising, Media and Business -- Reshaped. Probably a good place to check for ideas and new concepts for Blogs. Weblogs are becoming more numerous everyday. Thousands of new blogs in just a short periiod of time.
If you read blogs or write a blog, this may be worth checking.

VOLOKH CONSPIRACY Its a law professor writing about the law
and a lot of other things and probably from a relatively conservative perspective since he views TAP as "on the

THE CURSOR--BLOG DOWN CENTER EVERYTHING ELSE AT SIDES
Cursor.org - Table of Contents page "bloghetto." Right down the middle of the page is one long blog under heading "Media Patrol". It might be in the center of the page, but it is loaded with politics and the media and mostly from a liberal perspective. But, a lot of good information can be found all over the political map here.

A VEGETARIAN BLOG. MAY NOT BE "MAINSTREAM" IN CATTLE COUNTRY, BUT MIGHT NOT BE COMPLETELY BLAND
The Veg Blog: A weblog about vegetarianism I must confess a blog about vegetables was not quite what I had in mind when I started this, but this might be interesting to more than a few people. Heck, we try to eat some vegetables with our ground cow.

WATERBORO MAINE LIBRARY BOOK NEWS, VIEWS BLOG
WPL: waterboro lib blog This is the first blog like this that I have seen, but then I have not been paying much attention to blogs for more than a few months. Looks like Jessamyn West puts in the news on books authors, Pub TV, publishing houses, etc. nearly daily.

ETHEL THE BLOG appears to be run by a research scientist.
Ethel the Blog clamis to be "servations (and occasional brash opining) on science, computers, books, music and other shiny things that catch my mind's eye". It also appears to have ads. From a link to home site looks like a guy nameed Steve Baum churns it out. Readable anyway.... --- Doug Wiken
